We got Holidosed!

{Clockwise, from top left: The shop-happy crowd descends on Holidose. Amber, of Las Manas Tamales, serves up her crazy-delicious goodies. Mama’s Nuts spreads sweet cheer with spiced Brittle and more. Nick, of Bittercube, expertly displays an exotic variety of artisanal Bitters.}

{From top Left, #1, 2, 3: The edgy & uber-chic jewels from Cities in Dust. #4, 5, 6: Chalk Boutique’s luxe and fashion-forward wares.}

Wow, this month’s installment of Chicago’s Dose Market was amazing. Even more vendors set up shop in the beautiful River East Art Center space and the mood was decidedly festive! For those of you who aren’t yet familiar with Dose, hear hear: It’s a monthly Sunday Market, featuring products that are new, unusual, often local, and generally hard to find. Chicago has been in desperate need of a market just like this and the void was perfectly filled with the emergence of Dose Market. I personally haven’t missed a single Dose yet, there’s always new goodies to see, taste, touch, and discover (and photograph, in my case.)

The next Dose is coming at us on February 12th, 2012 (the Dosettes are taking a well-deserved break for January), so if you will be in town visiting, or if you are local and (God forbid!) haven’t made it to a Dose yet – go and check it out. I’ll see you there, K?!
