It’s been unseasonably warm (well, if you can call 45 degrees warm) here in Chicago – so I decided to take advantage of the weather and finally get in front of the camera. So yay, here it is, the first ever Miss Renaissance outfit post!! I hope you enjoy it, even though I pretty much failed to smile in every single picture. I swear I’m not the Grinch, I usually love to smile & laugh randomly at everything.
{Giant Scarf by Barneys, Silk Top by Aritzia, Metallic Tweed Jacket by Zara, Leather pants by J Brand, Glitter Boots by Barneys Co-op, Clutch by Ellen Verbeek (old), Bracelets by Low Luv & Kelly Wearstler, Sunglasses by Oliver Peoples, Vintage Rings.}

Thank you, love your blog!
Great shots!
Agreed!
Gorgeous, and love the colors easy on eye. I see you have index nail lightly painted, Is that a statement or look for the outfit?
Thank you. I usually paint my index nails a little differently…to keep it fun and interesting.
Very nice! I In my point of view, those bracelets scream – fabulous!

First, Chicago is probably my favorite city EVER! So, this post was a winner from the beginning! (:
Second, this outfit is fabulous! Pleasepleaseplease do more of these. You are an inspiration to us all
Chicago IS the best! Thank you so much for your comment
Adore those boots.
Cute look! Love the scarf and jacket
Fashion ‘outs’ whats inside. Recheck the second pic. That look certainly smiles. 45 degrees in Chicago in almost January will do that.
Classy look.
Isn’t this weather great? I’m from around Chicago too and have loved wearing jackets instead of coats for the past month and a half. Wear did you get those great boots?
I know, I’m happy we aren’t stuck in snow yet. The boots are from Barneys.
I’m from Tennessee, and it’s been incredibly mild here. Love the look, especially the boots. I like clothing that makes an artistic statement. I’m all about expression in music, art, writing, even fashion.
i love your bag and boots, great look!
I love the nail polish! And the bangles.. And oh.. those cute boots.. So perfect for you.. so perfect for a mild winter day!
When I first looked at photon #1, the top one, I thought that your pants began at your hips and this must be some kind of “new bare midriff from the side angle look” because your top looks flesh-colored to me! lol Foxy over-all. Re: the weather, something is wrong when on Christmas ther is NO SNOW anywhere in the lower 48 states on the weather map. Why doesn’t the “weather channel” discuss this?
Kudos on being Freshly like those Pressed-against-skin-tight pants you style!
‘NEW’ Mexico IS in the lower 48, and we have plentiful nice snow like we used to get “Back in the Day”. Our famous sunshine bathed Ski areas are popular ‘Again’. Ski in the morning, come down off the mountain and wear nice balmy outfits like these or even lighter, in the afternoon. :>)
You’re the coolist woman on the planet…
Thanks for sharing your cute outfit. Connie

I like the outfit a lot…not super crazy about the jacket as the fabric doesn’t sit well with me in the photo anyway. Overall a B+! As for the photography, A+

Wow.. perfect… so beautiful miss…
Love the bulky, metal jewelry!
Nice look!
HYPE!
I like the use of black with brown tones without it being awkward. That’s something I have some trouble with; I tend to unnecessarily adhere to the old rule of not mixing brown and black out of fear.
Who ever did your photography did a very nice job – all the details are shown and all the shots are not too pose-y.
I adore the nails! They’re just so different and gorgeous (Yeah, I do say that word a LOT.) And they’re just a nice little detail which says you took time not to just put together an outfit.

Love the look! xoxo Snow http://mademoisellesnow.wordpress.com

Looove the boots – so 70′s disco vintage-y!
You look super CHIC & HOT- I can’t imagine living in such cold conditions. I am def a CA girl, anything under 75- IS FREEZING!
so very totally superficial to be obsessed with appearance. It doesn’t make you smarter nicer or better than anyone else. And it won’t last, so what will you be left with? So, yeah, cute but pointless and shallow.
Wow…just WOW! Love the jacket;)
I really like the boots.
I need that scarf to wear around with me at all times during the winter, and I need those boots, well, because they’re cute.
I love love love this look…I think I will try to imitate it in my own:)
Awesome, go for it
Great look from the tips of your fingers (great colors btw) to the sparkles on your toes! Nicely done xoxox HVC
Thanks so much! xx
Love the scarf! Well actually the whole outfit but particularly the scarf! I sometimes wish winters in Australia warranted such a fantastic item.

Great outfit, love the use of layering and texture. The boots are adorable and I truly love the giant, cowl neck scarf. The nubby little jacket works so well as a bit of a surprise that give the outfit a slightly funky edge.
I lived in Chicago for 8 years and hated every winter I spent there. Can’t believe it is only 45 degrees there now. You lucked out! Enjoy it while it lasts. I’m pretty sure Jan./Feb./March will bring -20 and lots o’ snow!
Bootilicious, love.
Nice shots!
Like the outfit, can’t go against ya there! However, I don’t even want to know what you spent… yikes!

Nice must haves!
Great pictures, and I love the fact that you refer to winter in Chicago (sort of like winter in NYC) i as “warm” when it is 45 degrees in the winter. It is all about perspective right? People in Hawaii would fall out of their chairs!
Ah well, enjoy it while you can, as I’m sure that cold Chi-town wind is on its way. Great blog post, and I look forward to reading more in the future. Stay warm!
Adorable look! Congrats on being Freshly Pressed!
Looking Beautiful like queen
