After last week’s rather punchy neon-tipped mani, I decided to go with light & airy tones of lilac this week. Can’t you just imagine fields upon fields of fragrant Spring Lavender?? Ok, maybe not, but it’s a pretty picture in my mind! We’ve got a chilly and rainy day here in Chicago…I wouldn’t mind an afternoon nap in the sun, surrounded by fields of lavender just about now.

This Jumpsuit is one of my all-time favorite travel purchases! I found this baby while traveling through Australia last year, but somehow my goal of wearing it as much as possible fell by the wayside (boo!)…so showing it off here makes me a very happy lady! The architectural city background perfectly complements the steely grey of the look, dontcha think!?

Well, hello my Lovelies!! I hope everyone’s long weekend was fabulously relaxing and fun! What kind of trouble did you get into??! My weekend was busy busy…filled with celebrating my Birthday with delicious doughnuts from the newly opened “Glazed & Infused” (their Creme Brûlée doughnut is beyond addicting!), vintage shopping at the monthly Randolph Street Antique Market, and a fun trip to Michigan to photograph a lakeside wedding. Phew! Of course, there were also a few celebratory cocktails involved – which leads me to today’s fun DIY. I’d been scheming to make these Tile Coasters for months, and finally got them done this past week. They’re so simple but SO glam! All you need is a few super basic tiles from your local hardware store, a little spray paint in your favorite color, some tape (I am addicted to using my Washi tape for EVERYTHING these days!), and a little glitter to glam up your coaster’s edges. Tah-Dah! Aren’t they fun?! So go forth and create…any questions, just ask.

Happy Friday (long weekend – woohoo!!), Lovelies! I hope you have fun plans for this Holiday Weekend. I’ll be off to lovely Michigan to shoot a wedding with a friend.
