Ada Street Chicago for Starving Artist IMG_1732-2 IMG_1735-3 IMG_1740-4 IMG_1749-5 IMG_1782-7

You all know how much I LOVE to eat, right? I. Love. It. Chicago is a huge food town, and Ada Street happens to be one of my favorite restaurants. So when I recently got the opportunity to chat with Ada Street’s Chef Zoe Schor I was insanely excited and honored! Chef Zoe honed her skills at incredible restaurants such as Thomas Keller’s Bouchon and Todd English’s Beso before joining the Ada Street team as executive chef. Her cooking is a blend of classical and contemporary styles & the result is an approachable, seasonal and diverse menu that always hits the spot for me.

I was able to watch Chef Zoe re-create a delicious dish she previously cooked for a Summer event at Ada Street last year. In honor of the restaurant’s patio opening – complete with a ping-pong table, astro turf, and a custom painted garage door by local Chicago street artist Ruben Aguirre – Zoe dished up slow-grilled bbq pork shoulder on top of corn sopes, topped off with a fresh grilled corn salad. YUM! It’s a perfect blend of perfectly seasoned & tender meat with a fresh and slightly spicy topping that harmoniously comes together with the earthy support of the corn sope base. I could eat this little dish all summer long!

The great news is that Chef Zoe will dish up this exact recipe at next weekend’s Starving Artist Party! She’ll be on-site, preparing bbq pork sopes for guests all night. Now that’s exciting..and even more reason for you Chicago peeps to join us at Starving Artist! Tickets are still available, but selling out fast, so get yours soon! And if you haven’t been to Ada Street yet, what are you waiting for?!!

XO
