One Skirt, Two Ways {Part 2}

Miss Renaissance Miss Renaissance Miss Renaissance Miss Renaissance

{Skirt – Milly (sold out, but check out this one), Blouse - J.Crew, Jacket – Smythe (old), Boots – Alaia (snatched up at 50% off via Luxury Garage Sale), Gloves – J.Crew, Sunglasses – Celine, Tights - Ann Taylor.}

Last week’s rendition of this skirt was a more mild-weather appropriate option (for those of you who are lucky enough to live in warm climates, I so envy you right now!) For the rest of us, Winter has arrived and we need a few extra layers to make it through the next months. Soooo, here’s my cold-weather option for this skirt. The dotted tights and mixed patterns keep it interesting & fresh. I’ll just throw a mid-length coat on top (and maybe a set of ear muffs for extra cold days) and I’m ready to head out for a fun Winter evening!

City Surfing

{Top – Surf Bazaar, Denim Shorts – Vintage Men’s Levis, Shoes- Barney’s Co-op (last Season), Bag – Celine, Sunglasses – c/o Warby Parker, Bracelets – Hermes, J.Crew, Necklaces – A Merry Mishap.}

Whenever Summer threatens to slowly come to an end (NOOOOO!!!), I get a nostalgic longing for some time on the beach – hanging out in the sand, watching the waves crash onto the shore. This is my City interpretation of a beachy Summer outfit. To make it truly beach appropriate, I’d just swap the wedge heels for some Rainbow flip flops, add my favorite bikini, and a straw fedora.

P.S.: To get the natural curl & texture of my hair to come out, I used Bumble & Bumble’s Surf Spray. I generally have a love/hate relationship with my curls, but this product gives it just the right amount of volume and structure without the frizz!

Denim with a side of Rock N’ Roll

{Leather Jacket – Zara, Denim Shorts – Vintage Levi’s (thrifted), Shirt – Joie (old), Heels- Alexander Wang (found these lucky ones on sale, but sold out otherwise), Necklace – Oia Jewels, Belt – Hermes, Bag- Celine, Watch – Michael Kors.}

Sometimes you just wanna throw on a pair of old denim shorts and be done with it, right? OR, pair them with some rocking new heels, a leather moto jacket and you’re ready to hit a show! The fact that I found these heels on sale (and in my exact size!) was one of the most exciting sale moments in recent history…oh, and how fun is that chunky Oia necklace?!

{Skirt & Peplum Top – Max Mara, Ribbon Necklace – Storets, Bag – Celine, Shoes – Pierre Hardy, Rings – Me&Ro, Bracelets – Hermes, In God We Trust, Marc by Marc Jacobs.}

Hello, hello, Lovelies! Greetings from sunny California.

A few weeks ago, I had the honor of entering yet another year of life (and hopefully gain more wisdom along the way!) This, naturally, called for a bit of a celebration – and an excuse to dress up! This Max Mara skirt/top combo is one of my favorite ensembles – the peplum, pleating, and zipper details all add a special touch to the beautiful fabrics – and it’s comfortable (big bonus!!)

{Skirt – Anthropologie, T-Shirt – T by Alexander Wang, Leather Jacket – Doma (old), Shoes – Valentino (old), Sunglasses – Prada, Purse – Celine, Watch – Hermes, Bracelets – Forever 21 & J.Crew (old).}

The idea behind today’s post is simple: My friend has a tiny & cute puppy…I have a tiny & cute purse – BAM! Cute & amazing overload. Rosey the Puppy is the most adorable thing EVER…she was sweet enough to put up with being stuffed in a bag and photographed. Thank you baby Rosey for being so cooperative (and for not peeing in my bag!), and thank you Alison & Alison (yes, both of my friends happen to be “Alison” with a single “L”)
for shooting the pictures and letting me borrow your puppy!!

P.S.: I’m in looove with this neon lace skirt by Anthro….it’s perfection!
