Spring Style Crush by Miss Renaissance

{Earrings – Dannijo. Sweater – Topshop. Skirt – Marni. Clutch – Miu Miu. Heels – Loeffler Randall.}

Hello, Lovelies & welcome to March! I feel like Winter is sort of flying by this year….but now that March is officially here I can’t help but desperately wish for warmer weather to arrive right now!

Spring Styles have been all over the web and fashion magazines are beautifully displaying pastels, florals, and everything in between. For those of you lucky enough to be in warmer climates: I hope you’re already taking full advantage of Spring fashion arrivals!! For us Chicagoans it’s all but a daydream until about mid-May.

Speaking of daydreams….the outfit above is my perfect girly Spring 2013 ensemble. It all started with that amazing two-tone leather skirt, which just happens to perfectly combine two of my favorite colors. Pair that with a comfortable, light-knit sweater and a pair of wow-floral heels and I’m pretty much ready for anything. Spring Cocktails anyone?!

Play with your Food!

By now, my lust love for Markus Lupfer’s cheeky & glam knitwear is no longer a secret! So it’s no surprise that when I came across this hilarious burger number, I HAD to have it!! It combines my love for food & sequins in one perfectly comfortable sweater…..ahhhhmazing!! I’ve pretty much been wearing it non-stop.

What pairs perfectly with a burger?? Duhhhh…some fries, people! Off we were to the closest McDonald’s. Trust me, people on the street were definitely bewildered by this photo shoot. Also, how hilarious is this fast food mural we found (coincidence?! I think NOT!)

Home & Style {Copper Metallics}

Miss Renaissance

{Copper Lamp Pendant – Tom Dixon. Metallic Leather Skirt – ASOS.}

Happy Friday, Lovelies! Another week has passed…and another beautiful weekend lies ahead! What are your plans? Any fun Halloween parties in sight? I’ll be spending the weekend mostly relaxing, catching up with friends, and enjoying the now chilly & sunny Fall weather!

Anyway…back to what’s on hand – lamps & skirts, of course! What’s easier and more effective when it comes to changing a room’s flair than new lamps?! It’s a super fast way to transform the feel of your home without getting out the paint brush or swapping out big pieces of furniture. I’ve been swooning over these copper light pendants by Tom Dixon for months now! They’re simple & clean, but the copper metallic finish is a true statement-maker. Clustered in multiples, or hung on its own, I can see this pendant really working it in any room. I’m considering swapping out my current pendant over my kitchen island and replacing it with these beauties.

And don’t even get me started on this amazing skirt!! Metallic, leather, girly flounce – this one has everything!! ASOS is just so good at skirts.

Have a wonderful weekend….and don’t get into too much trouble in those costumes, K!?

Oh the Dog Days of Summer….how I wish they were still here! This outfit was a perfect Summer-to-Fall transition with the beautiful Fall-inspired print on the blouse. Now that the weather is much cooler, I’ll rock this skirt with tights and throw a cute cardigan over the blouse. Oh, and what do you think about the yellow heels? They’re my first pair of yellow shoes (I usually don’t gravitate toward yellow hues)…and they’re insanely comfortable.

PS: The adorable pup was on a walk with a random passerby – I asked to borrow her for a few photos!

I literally have been on the hunt for the perfect leather skirt for MONTHS! And finally…..I found this baby! It’s the perfect length, not too sexy or too girly, the pleats are fun & versatile, and this skirt will take me from Summer right through Fall and Winter paired with some opaque tights. I had a fun rooftop party to attend last week, which was the perfect occasion to take my new treasure out for a test drive. I’m happy to report that the buttery leather didn’t wrinkle or warp while sitting, dancing & generally moving around throughout the night! This one is an investment pice worth every penny!!
