Wednesday night was truly special – in that awesome “I’m back in the country, ready to party & DIY my ass off” kind of way. I co-hosted a great event with Glossed & Found at the beautiful Luxury Garage Sale space with some of my favorite people. “Crafting for a Cause” was a full-blown DIY-A-Pallooza!! So many of Chicago’s most creative & crafty came by to sip champagne, chat & have a blast creating one-of-a-kind bedazzled tote bags, T-shirts & tanks.

Through donations from our party-goers, we raised a nice amount of money for Prescription Wellbeing – a local charity that provides Beauty & Spa Services to women living with cancer. How amazing is that?!

Thank you to everyone that joined us – we’ll do it again soon.

Have a great weekend!

One Skirt, Two Ways {Part 2}

Miss Renaissance Miss Renaissance Miss Renaissance Miss Renaissance

{Skirt – Milly (sold out, but check out this one), Blouse - J.Crew, Jacket – Smythe (old), Boots – Alaia (snatched up at 50% off via Luxury Garage Sale), Gloves – J.Crew, Sunglasses – Celine, Tights - Ann Taylor.}

Last week’s rendition of this skirt was a more mild-weather appropriate option (for those of you who are lucky enough to live in warm climates, I so envy you right now!) For the rest of us, Winter has arrived and we need a few extra layers to make it through the next months. Soooo, here’s my cold-weather option for this skirt. The dotted tights and mixed patterns keep it interesting & fresh. I’ll just throw a mid-length coat on top (and maybe a set of ear muffs for extra cold days) and I’m ready to head out for a fun Winter evening!

I am still dreaming about our recent Family Vacation in California Wine Country. The weather was perfect, the wine was plentiful and delicious, and the scenery was breathtaking! This Lace Dress by Dolce Vita is an absolute Summer Staple for me! It’s light, comfortable & breezy while still looking refined and elegant when I dress it up with heels.

I hope you all have a beautiful 4th of July tomorrow! I’ll see you back here on Thursday.

Launching {Party Time}

Hello, Lovelies! I hope your weekend was amazing! For those of you living in Chicago – how CRAZY has this weather been?!? 80 degrees in March…completely insane, right!? I’m not sure if I need to be worried (ya know, Global Warming and all…) or just giddy & happy…

Anyhoo…remember how I mentioned a “Special Party” I attended last week? I finally finished editing all of the Party Pictures over the weekend. I hosted a little Miss Renaissance Launch/Charity Event at The Violet Hour last Wednesday. We mingled, ate delicious apps and fantastic desserts, sipped on bespoke cocktails (The Violet Hour makes some of the best in the city), listened to fun tunes by Brown Eyed Style, and shopped some of Luxury Garage Sale’s fabulous treasures. Part of the proceeds, along with the guests’ generous donations, went straight to Chicago’s Chapter of Bottomless Closet – they’re a fantastic charity supporting & empowering women nationwide – check them out some time! Thank you so much to everyone who attended, and a special thanks to Lisa Ostrenga of LM Event Design for being the most fabulous & lovely event planner of all time!
