Hey hey, Lovelies! I hope you all had a wonderful long weekend. I spent a few days in Los Angeles last week…what a nice break from the absolutely FREEZING temps here in Chicago!!

On a little outing to the Pacific Design Center, I threw on my favorite casual jeans, a new floral blouse & my sexy new lace-up heels (they’re surprisingly comfortable!) There was just a bit of a chill in the air that evening, so a light coat was perfect just in case. The outfit combined a few patterns & textures – what do you think of this little mix & match action?

{Leather Jacket – Zara, Denim Shorts – Vintage Levi’s (thrifted), Shirt – Joie (old), Heels- Alexander Wang (found these lucky ones on sale, but sold out otherwise), Necklace – Oia Jewels, Belt – Hermes, Bag- Celine, Watch – Michael Kors.}

Sometimes you just wanna throw on a pair of old denim shorts and be done with it, right? OR, pair them with some rocking new heels, a leather moto jacket and you’re ready to hit a show! The fact that I found these heels on sale (and in my exact size!) was one of the most exciting sale moments in recent history…oh, and how fun is that chunky Oia necklace?!

Fringe Benefits

Welcome to a brand-spankin’ new week, Lovelies! I hope you’re well rested and still smiling from your weekend! Chicago’s been sporting some record high temperatures over the weekend (my car read 101F as a high yesterday!)…so skimpy outfits were a must. How fun is this fringed leather skirt??! It just makes me feel like dancing. Paired with these fun & bright woven heels, I’m ready for a hot night on the town…and cooling off with a few chilled drinks…..is it the weekend yet??

Hello, Lovelies! I hope you all had a fantastic weekend!! I had a busy few days…I photographed a wedding at one of my favorite Chicago Venues (Lovely Bakeshop), attended 2 charity events (one of which included adorable puppies!!), and did some exploring at a fun outdoor festival in my neighborhood. Phew…anyone else feeling a little tired this Monday??

This flowy and light outfit was inspired by the recent beautiful & warm weather here in Chicago. Warm temps always make me want to throw on something airy and light, and this skirt definitely fits the bill. Paired with one of my favorite lace pieces (which happens to surprisingly go with almost anything), it becomes a romantic ode to the upcoming Season.

Yellow to the {Rescue}

{Jacket – Zara, T-Shirt – Club Monaco, Jeans – JBrand, Belt – old, Shoes – Chanel (old – snagged these lucky heels at a 40% off Winter Sale at Chanel on Rodeo Drive!!), Bag – no label, bought at a tiny leather boutique when I traveled through Argentina a few years ago, Bracelet – J.Crew (old), Ring – Forever 21 (old), Sunglasses – Oliver Peoples.}

Sometimes, making a big effort with your outfit just isn’t in the cards. On those days, I tend to just throw on a well-loved pair of jeans, my favorite white tee (this Club Monaco favorite is amazing…I own several), some ballet flats, and I’m out the door. But what to do when such a plain and basic ensemble needs a little “tweaking” for – say – a brunch date, or a stroll downtown? Enter the MOST amazing tweed jacket for Spring!! I usually don’t gravitate toward yellow, but this structured tweed blazer caught my eye right away. It’s comfortable but structured, fits like a glove, and elevates a super basic outfit in just the right way. I threw on some quirky heels for good measure and – voila! I’m actually presentable.
