This pink, bubbly concoction is perfect for holidays, spring, summer, ok any time of year really let’s be honest. Rosé amaretto jello shots are a delicious adult treat that is served up in sweet little coupe glasses(short-stemmed champagne glasses), making you feel like a fancy big kid. So, what makes up this precious, pink drink you may ask? Well, a little bit of this, a little bit of that, and voila! Just kidding, we totally have the recipe listed down below with step by step instructions on how to prepare them.
This recipe will make four large shots or 6 to 8 small shots depending on the glasses used.
1 1/4 cups rosé sparkling wine
1/4 cup amaretto
1/4 cup club soda
1/4 cup of simple syrup*
2 packets of unflavored gelatin
Garnish: Berries, cherries, or citrus
*Since amaretto is sweet, if you use a sweet rosé then you may want to lessen the amount of simple syrup.
To start, add the simple syrup and club soda to a small pan. Add the gelatin packets last and let sit for about 2 minutes. After the mixture has sat, warm over medium heat and stir continuously. Once the gelatin has dissolved, pour the mixture into a medium to a large bowl.
To the bowl, add the rosé and amaretto and stir. Next, pour equal amounts of the mixture into glasses. At this time place any fruit you want in the bottom so it can set with the gelatin mixture. Lastly, chill in the fridge for 3 to 4 hours or until ready to serve. Serve with a spoon and a citrus slice hanging on the rim, or citrus peel shaved atop the drink.
This recipe can be placed in heart molds for Valentine’s, square molds to resemble ice, or in little plastic shot cups for a large party. The garnish choices for this jello shot recipe are endless. Any berry, cherry, or citrus will do. Get creative and serve it as a refreshing adult dessert at a patio party or bridal shower.
As mentioned above, the sweet almond flavor of the amaretto and the rosé in addition to the simple syrup could make it too sweet for some. Have fun and play with the flavor combinations until you find the flavor that puts a smile on your face.
- Set glasses on a tray for easy handling to the fridge
- Be sure the gelatin completely dissolves when heating
- Use a wide mouth funnel to help you pour into glasses
- When placing in the fridge, be sure to cover
- Gelatin shots will last about 7 to 10 days in the fridge
- You can add food coloring to brighten the drink’s color
- Avoid setting in the freezer, the fridge is best
- Use flavored gelatin to add another level of flavor
Jello shots are always such a fun adult treat to have at a party or take to an event. Our version above can be made in any glass or dish to suit your needs. This refreshingly sweet and tasty drink can of course be made without the gelatin. Just simply mix up and serve in tall Tom Collins glasses over ice. Drink and enjoy!
